Welcome to the Vision Access Program, an initiative of Foundation for Fogo dedicated to breaking down barriers to vision health in Cabo Verde and worldwide.
In a country where access to essential eyecare can be a challenge, steps in to provide free prescription glasses to children in need , ensuring that clear sight is a right, not a privilege.
At Foundation For Fogo, we believe in a future where every resident of Cabo Verde can see the world with clarity.
Our mission is to provide free prescription glasses to children with vision impairment and equitable solutions for adults to be able to access eyewear at subsidized costs.
By collaborating closely with local authorities and communities to expand our reach and impact. Through NuOdja, we're not just giving away glasses; we're opening doors to education, work, and full participation in community life.

- Ai Technology Based Vision Screening: We are the first Cape Verde based company to utilize Ai technoogy in the public health sector
- Over 350 Pairs Distributed: Thanks to generous donors and dedicated volunteers, we've already changed 350 lives.
- Expanding Across Islands: Starting from Fogo, to Santiago we aim to reach every corner of Cabo Verde.

We are proud to be the first organization in Cape Verde to incorporate AI technology specifically in eye care and healthcare in general. This innovative approach allows us to:

NuOdja is a program dedicated to providing access to vision care for individuals in Cabo Verde. We recognize that poor vision can have a significant impact on mental health, affecting interpersonal interactions, confidence, and overall well-being.
Our goal is to bridge the gap in resources and ensure that everyone in our community has access to the vision care they need. In Cabo Verde, the cost of a pair of glasses is often equivalent to the monthly minimum wage, making it difficult for many individuals to obtain proper vision care.
We believe that prescription glasses should not be an expensive luxury, and we are committed to providing them at no cost to those born in poverty.
